Download data

4P provides a way to download raw data (L0) and processed data (L1, L2) directly to the user’s local computer. However, since some data may be very big, 4P first executes remotely a transfer and compression of the data before making it available for download.

To download a data, go to the desired Data Detail page and click the button Prepare Download.

There you can choose between downloading all or just a part of the data content.

Download all

The option Download all immediately starts the transfer and compression of the data to the remote 4P server.

The archive creation process can take a while. To monitor this, open the Downloads item of the main menu. There are listed all the downloadable archives of the current installation and their status.

When the archive creation process is complete, it is possible to actually download it on the local computer.

Download a part

The option Download a part will first open a dialog to select parts of the data to be added to the downloadable archive. Just check the boxes of the data contents to be downloaded and press the Prepare archive button to start the transfer and compression of the data to the remote 4P server.

Partial archives are identified visually in the downloadable archives list by a specific icon (see picture below).
